Of the people engaged with share ownership, 71% were more likely to consider the cost implications of their actions, with 66% producing a higher quality of work. Furthermore, 50% of the employees taking part in such schemes said they would now remain with their current employer longer than they would have otherwise. There is often a plea or desire to have employees think like owners. Maybe even more importantly, make them owners by sharing the wealth.
