In this competitive business climate, where talent critical to success, we can’t afford not to put employee engagement near the top of our business strategies. You are only as good as your employees and engaged employees will help you rise to the top and stay there.

I think it can be more than a strategy but a way of working/living. Our strategy can help us get there. I appreciate the point you made.

Some great comments and ideas. I have met Marshall Goldsmith when I was at BT (UK) in a Senior HR role - he is a wonderful and genuine man. I would recommend everyone to read his website. Thank you for reminding me of the importance of my own personal energy!

    best regards

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT enriches everyone in the workplace. It is not sucking out more discretionary effort from employees.

Authentic employee engagement must function for the benefit of all: employees, leaders, organizations, and customers.

Employees have higher levels of satisfaction and contribution. Leaders are connected with employees and engaged themselves. The organization is functioning the way it should and customers are receiving the service they deserve.

Ultimately everyone is getting results that matter to them.

When this occurs, employee engagement transforms into a more powerful force --- workplace engagement.
