Change This is one of my favorite sources of information. They offer short and well-written manifestos and other short works that provide information in engaging and informative ways. Last month’s May batch of manifestos offered 4 excellent sources for employee engagement.
Creative Elegance. Are you thinking of elegance when you think of employee engagement? Perhaps our short form of using EE for Employee Engagement may need to become EEE for Elegant Employee Engagement. This is a short manifesto by Matthew E. May, one of the world’s leading thinker on elegance.
The Small Revolution. I have written elsewhere about the power of the small and that small is the new significant. This manifesto outlines some of the key thoughts about small power and how we need to be focusing more on the small. I encourage you to read Linda Kaplan Thaler & Robin Koval’s manifesto.
Who’s Got Your Back. Keith Ferrazzi writes very well about relationships and this manifesto outlines some of the key ideas from his latest book on lifeline relationships to help you succeed and prevent failure.

We truly believe that the key to success, both personally and professionally is to reject the popular notion of “thinking big” and start shrinking our outlooks. I especially like the power of the small and agree that small is the new big.
I think the “who’s got your back test” is a very powerful check. It’s about vulnerability based trust. When you have that at work, people will go out on the limb. When you don’t, people are worried about basic survival.
