Change and the Art of Small Victories

(Reading time = 48 seconds )

One Small Change

My approach to employee engagement has been to focus on small, simple, strong, significant, and sustainable change or behaviors. It was heartening to read Garr Reynold’s Presentation Zen blog post on change and the art of small victories.

I encourage you to read the full post but here is a tidbit to whet your appetite:

The little victories that you win. Making a small difference is reason enough to get out of bed every day. We do not always need—or even want—to make such a grand impact. Often we are just lucky to make a small change, perhaps influencing or making a difference in a few people’s lives that day.

The next time you are speaking about engagement or trying to improve employee engagement, go ahead and engage with small significant change that can make a big difference.
