Finding Mutuality in Employee Engagement: Rabbit + Duck = Rabbuck

October 12, 2009 by David Zinger Leave a Comment

Is it a duck? Is it a rabbit? Can we find mutuality in employee engagement?

Opposites. The video below is a one minute promotion for a children’s book and I believe the opposite views of the same figure is what gets us into many problems and disagreements.

Perspective validity. Are you able to see employee engagement from many perspectives and accept the validity of each different perspective?

Mutual respect and purpose. When we operate from mutual respect and mutual purpose we make it safe to engage in authentic discussions about employee engagement.

Right or wrong? Have fun watching the video below but think about your last duck/rabbit talk and where it got you…or didn’t get you.
