In Gaudi’s Grip: If I was an Information Architect

March 10, 2010 by David Zinger 2 Comments

What do you see?

gaudi small

If I was an information architect

I would imitate Gaudi

Expressing Spanish flair fused with Barcelona beat

Into artistic displays of moving information

The information would be beautiful

Creating towering displays of data

That would continue to be built well past my short shelf life.

I would wave information

Transforming data points

Into curved beauty

Abandoning myopic reliance

On straight lines.

I would invite my information patrons

To walk through the data build

Unable to keep their hands off of the implications

While grabbing hold of meaningful measures

Conveyed in waves of inspiring information

    Great poem!!
Living in Barcelona and as a Gaudi fan, I can feel the creation of news concepts, lines, life in what Gaudi done.

    Thank you Jose:
I love the work of Gaudi and when you add Miro’s simplicity there is a strong power in the fusion of the two, not just for art but for a way of experiencing and engaging with our world.
