Best Companies completed more survey research on engagement. They found that leadership was the key driver of engagement – employees must have faith and trust in the senior leadership team to be engaged.

The 3  essential actions that leaders can focus on to boost staff engagement are:

  1. Gain employee’s trust. There was a 54% difference between engaged and disengaged employees for the statement ‘I have great confidence in the leadership skills of the senior management team’
  2. Live the organization’s values.  There was a 51% difference for the statement ‘senior managers truly live the vales of this organization’.
  3. Inspire your teams. There was a 50% difference for the statement ‘I am inspired by the person leading this organization’.
