We Need Hopeless Employee Engagement

Now versus Hope

I have no hope for employee engagement. Hope is an emotional trap that gets us focused on the future. We need less hope and more gumption and robust engagement with work.

Let the future take care of itself by engaging in the task in front of you right now, connecting strongly with others at work, and strengthening your connections to results and your organization.

Engage is a verb encouraging present action. Don’t turn engage into a noun and dream of employee engagement in the future.
