I am just back from my trip to Wisconsin and wanted to tell you that reading Zengage on the flight home was the perfect way to end a trip. So engaged in the book, I wasn’t the least bit bothered by the small seats, the turbulence, or the persistent snoring of my fellow passenger! A truly delightful and engaging read! And so YOU! J I just loved it! I want everyone I know who has anything to do with workplace engagement to buy one for everyone in their workplace! It says it all, David, which just goes to prove that the deepest truths do not need many words to be expressed. I am certain that you have many books inside you to be written, but this is the perfect first venture into that realm! I am just so happy for you and so excited for the world to have insight into the heart and mind of someone who I have had the distinct pleasure of knowing and appreciating up close as a friend. You rocked it, David!
Hat’s off and a deep bow to you, my friend.

I just finished reading your little book — and it is splendid. It reminded me of something I read many years ago about a therapeutic program used in Japan to help end depression. The program required people to stay in bed for several days or a week doing absolutely nothing. Very gradually some form of work was added in, just ten minutes of scrubbing the floor or cutting wood, then right back into bed — the time of activity gradually lengthening over the days of enforced bed rest. Within a few days the sufferers began to feel better and look forward to their work again. A way of pushing the reset button, perhaps.
Your book also has a certain quality of this same compassion in it (along with your winking eye of good humor) as if just by being present with others and offering small doses of zengagement, your readers are encouraged to say yes, too, where they had been saying no or maybe. What I take away is to zengage is to choose life.
Thanks for a great read!
